Dance Against Racism

Uniting Dancers for Justice

As part of the YWCA’s National Stand Against Racism, Dance Against Racism brings together diverse young dancers to perform for each other and take part in discussion activities about how race impacts their daily lives and the dance community. DAR provides a safe and comfortable place for local youth to learn from each other, share their talents, and address critical social and community issues.

The Stand Against Racism is a signature campaign of YWCA USA to build community among those who work for racial justice and to raise awareness about the negative impact of institutional and structural racism in our communities. This campaign is one part of the YWCA’s larger national strategy to fulfill its mission of eliminating racism.
