VOLUNTEERS PLAY A KEY ROLE FOR DANCE FOR WORLD COMMUNITY, PROVIDING INVALUABLE SERVICES

Volunteer for our 14th Annual Dance for World Community Festival • Saturday, June 8, 2024 • Harvard Square, Cambridge

DWC Festival traditionally brings together dance artists, activists and enthusiasts to celebrate and raise awareness about the local and global issues that matter most to the entire community – and would not be possible without the generous help of volunteers!

This year’s festival will feature over 60 local dance groups, 20 advocacy organizations, and 20 local businesses including arts market vendors and food vendors! Performances and free intro-level dance classes will be held throughout the day across 5 stages along Mass Ave where vendors will be lined up on the street.


WHEN: Saturday June 8, 2024 with performances and classes from 12-6pm, dance party 6-8pm

WHERE: Mass Ave between Putnam Ave and Bow St in Harvard Square, Cambridge

VOLUNTEER SHIFTS: Shifts are 3 hours long. Volunteers can sign up for one or multiples shifts. All volunteers will receive a brand new 2024 DWCF t-shirt.

VOLUNTEER DUTIES: Each shift indicated above will have different tasks throughout the festival.

Setup – putting up flags, banners, and signage, bringing materials to stages and tents, setting up tables and chairs for stages and vendors, manning info booths

General Volunteer – manning info booths, monitoring tables along Advocacy Way, signing in dance groups and vendors, assist at the stages with performances and classes, greet festival attendees and answer questions, promote the raffle

Clean Up and Breakdown – breakdown all tables and chairs at each tent and stage, clean up of festival grounds, put away various materials


WE NEED HELP FOR MORNING AND EVENING SHIFTS (SETUP & BREAKDOWN)!
